It seems that Yogi Bhajan wanted us to appreciate our own music and culture and so he prescribed that we sing the Long Time Sun at the end of each class. I had also heard that he wanted us to remember the 60s and the sacrifices that many had made at this time. This is in the spirit of giving back and giving all the fruits of our labors back to God is one of the foundational pillars of yoga. Perfect the breath and then give it to Infinity. We establish and integrate our infinite self in this way.

BTW, my brain is fine. I was part of a meditation study. They did MRIs while I did various pranayams and visualizations. I guess western science needs to prove that this stuff works within their framework in order to prescribe it
